"The Spirit of Hope Award".

"The Spirit of Hope Award" is presented for outstanding service to the United States.
Awarded to men and women of the United States Armed Forces, entertainers and other distinguished Americans and organizations whose patriotism and service reflects that of Mr. Bob Hope.
Mr. Hope was designated the first honorary veteran of the United States Armed Forces for his decades of entertaining troops, both in peacetime and in combat zones.
This honor was bestowed by the U.S. Congress, and signed into law by President Clinton.
Originally commissioned by the USO, the bas-relief sculpture was created by St. Louis sculptor Don F. Wiegand and co-creator Mr. Michael Fagin.
Michael Fagin, president of The International Group, Inc., says the piece was inspired by Bob Hope’s dedication to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. "We could think of no better way to say ‘thank you’ to Bob, and to all the volunteers who support and entertain American service men and women all over the world.” said Fagin.
